Which Stone Counter tops Should You Go For?

Both natural stones like marble,granite and artificial stones like quartz and sintered stone are widely used for counter tops. When choosing which stone material to go for your home decor,here are some useful information for your reference.

1. Marble counter tops

Advantages: Marble has rich color, soft texture, natural and diverse veining,and it is easy to cut and shaped.

Disadvantages: Since it is naturally formed, the fine loose cracks are easy to break. Since the stone is a porous material structure, if there is dirt and sewage infiltrated during production, transportation or construction, it is difficult to clean and easy to break. In daily cleaning, it is inevitable that some residues and dirt will be filled into the cracks with the wiping of the rag, which will become a breeding ground for bacteria.

2. Granite counter tops

Advantages: The texture and color of artificial stone are also rich, comparable to that of natural stone, and it is non-toxic and non-radioactive, easy to clean, and can achieve seamless splicing. It is an economical, environmentally friendly and hygienic material.

Disadvantages: The technical requirements and processing quality of manufacturers vary considerably. Many inferior products produced by small enterprises flood into the market and damage the interests of consumers. Some middle and low-end products also have problems such as discoloration, poor aging resistance, and oil stains.
